The Ombudsman initiated psychological assistance for a group of martyr families and war veterans in Guba

During February 16-17, 2021, family members of martyrs, as well as the veterans of the Patriotic War have been rendered psychological assistance in Guba at the initiative of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Sabina Aliyeva. It was jointly organized by the Ombudsman Office and Guba District Executive Authority in Guba Youth Center with the participation of the psychologists and psychiatrists of “Briut” psychological center.

The main purpose of ongoing psychological assistance measures is to help the war victims to improve their mental health in the post-traumatic stress phase and to support their adaptation to normal life. Within the campaign, such a service was provided to 10 members of martyr families and 30 war veterans.
