Guba and Sheki Regional Centers of the Ombudsman convened online events dedicated to the National Revival Day

Guba and Sheki Regional Centers of the Ombudsman convened online events on the occasion of November 17 - National Revival Day. Both events have brought together various stakeholders of the region.

During the online events heads of the both Regional Centers delivered speeches about the importance of this date from the perspective of revival history of Azerbaijan dated back to November 17, 1988. It was said that at the first session of the Supreme Soviet of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic held on November 17, 1990, which became a great historical step on the path to gaining our independence.

It was also underlined that on this day, it was made a decision about the restoration of the tricolour flag of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic and that petitioned to the Supreme Soviet of Azerbaijan to adopt it as the state flag, which opened the opportunity for national revival.

The issues related to the glorious victory of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief over the adversary Armenian army to liberate its own territories from the occupation of Armenia.

Above the all, the participants were also informed in detail about the activity of the Ombudsman in the period of this armed conflict.
