A representative of the Ombudsman participated in the conference dedicated to the '16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence' campaign

A conference dedicated to the "16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence" campaign was held with the organization of the Center for Research Against Harassment and the support of the Embassy of the United Kingdom in Azerbaijan.
During the event, Lamiya Zeynalova, the head of the Department for Protection of the Right to Information at the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, provided information on the Ombudsman's extensive activities in promoting and ensuring gender equality, as well as the protecting women's rights.
L. Zeynalova stated that complaints related to the violation of women's rights addressed to the Ombudsman are sensitively investigated in an expedited manner, and appropriate measures are taken towards the restoration of violated rights. In addition, information was provided about the methods of applying to the Ombudsman, including details about the "916" Call Center.

Furthermore, the conference participants were informed that the Ombudsman Institution consistently organizes educational activities in this field, preparing various informative materials and tutorials.
