Ombudsman participated in an event devoted to February 17 - National Random Acts of Kindness Day

An event devoted to February 17 - National Random Acts of Kindness Day was organized by Republic Children’s Library named after Firudin Kocharli and eleven-years music school #3 with named after Jovdat Hajiyev with the participation of students from Special Boarding School #2 and #5 for children with limited health capacities. The Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan Sabina Aliyeva also participated in that event titled “Kindness is the Sun of the Earth!”.

The principal of the Children’s Library, Shahla Gambarova noted the importance of the event and spoke about the necessity of children’s acquaintance with kindness ideas.

This was mentioned that the event was aimed at delivering the kindness, which is one of the highest humanistic qualities, to the future generations and at supporting children’s upbringing in the spirit of humanism in the society.

In her speech, the Commissioner Sabina Aliyeva expressed her best wishes to the children and other participants. The Ombudsman stated that measures of special importance implemented at state-level in the field of protection and promotion of the rights of persons with disabilities, including children and youth. Sabina Aliyeva stressed that the Ombudsman Office always kept this issue in the focus of attention.

During the concert program, Samad Novruzov, the student of the school #5 for children with limited health capacities, chorus group composed of students of Silent Communication school and special boarding school #2  also took part in the event. In general, 12 music pieces were demonstrated. At the end, children were presented child magazine “Rainbow” that was published by the library.
