Ombudsman met with students at British School in Baku

The Commissioner Elmira Suleymanova met with students within the framework of “Meeting with Interesting Professionals” Project at British School in Baku. 

In her speech the Commissioner noted legal reforms were carried out in the country, Azerbaijan adhered to more than 230 international conventions including the UN Convention on the Right of the Child. She added alongside with other rights, the Commissioner pays close attention to protection of child rights, legal awareness is being conducted in this regard and close cooperation had been built with UNICEF, respective state bodies.

Moreover, E. Suleymanova informed students about the activity of Azerbaijani Child and Youth Peace Network and Leadership School operating with the Network, events conducted there.

Later on, she answered the questions of students.

E. Suleymanova was presented the Certificate of Recognition for being honor guest of the school.
