Ombudsman awarded the Chair of the Council of Elders of Azerbaijan with the Ombudsman Institution’s Jubilee Medal

Ombudsman of Azerbaijan, Sabina Aliyeva, had a meeting with the Chair of the Council of Elders of Azerbaijan, deputy of the Parliament, Professior Eldar Guliyev. Representatives of the Council of Elders of Azerbaijan, including the deputies of the chairman, members of the Board of Directors, as well as the staff of the Council, along with representatives of the Ombudsman Office, took part in the meeting.

During the meeting, S. Aliyeva highlighted that the Ombudsman Office and the noted Council have similar activities, as both institutions are focused on addressing the existing problems in society and upholding human rights.

Later in the meeting, discussions were held regarding the work done in the field of social-legal protection for various population groups, the current tasks and challenges, and the prospects for future cooperation. The importance of conducting joint events was emphasized.

At the meeting, Ombudsman, S. Aliyeva, awarded the Chairman of the Council, E. Guliyev, a jubilee medal created honoring the "20th anniversary of the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan (2002–2022)."

In conclusion, Ombudsman presented books on human rights to the Council's library and took commemorative photos.
