Representatives of the Ombudsman met with repatriated persons from Syria

The repatriation of Azerbaijani citizens from the Syrian Arab Republic, as well as the actions for the protection of their rights and freedoms, are continued.

On August 3, 2023, 16 more people were brought to Azerbaijan from Syria, including 13 children and 3 women.

Representatives of the Ombudsman Office met with those individuals placed in the social service institution of the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population and were interested in the state of ensuring their rights.

The psychological state of women and children was evaluated at the meeting, and the representatives of the Office were informed of the steps carried out to promote their social rehabilitation and reintegration into society.
