Ombudsman, Sabina Aliyeva convened with the Chief Ombudsman of Türkiye, Şeref Malkoç

Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Sabina Aliyeva, convened with the Chief Ombudsman of Türkiye, Şeref Malkoç, who is on an official visit to Azerbaijan to participate in the 6th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue, held in Baku.  

The next group of interns in the Ombudsman Office also attended the meeting.

At the meeting, the Ombudsman reiterated the close relationships between Azerbaijan and Türkiye in all areas of life, including the field of protection of human rights and freedoms, outlining the joint efforts made by the ombuds institutions of both brotherly countries.  

Ombudsman said that internships are a tradition in the Office, emphasizing the significant role of practical experience in strengthening the theoretical knowledge gained by students in the field of law during their education. The Ombudsman advised the youngsters to take advantage of this opportunity, which contributes to enriching their knowledge and skills.

Turkish Chief Ombudsman, Şeref Malkoç, expressed his satisfaction with the arrangement of this meeting with the Azerbaijani Ombudsman during his visit to our country. He also spoke about the role of intern students in the Ombudsman Institution in shaping their future activities, wishing them success.

It must be noted that the fourth-year students majoring in law and social work at Baku State and Baku Eurasian Universities will have an internship in various structural units within the institution. They will receive detailed information about the Ombudsman's activities in the field of protection of human rights, handling citizen complaints, and other areas.
