The situation regarding the protection of the rights of our repatriates from Syria has been investigated on site

On May 14 of this year, the repatriation of eight more citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan, including five children and three women, from the Syrian Arab Republic to our country was carried out.

The representatives of the Ombudsman Office of Azerbaijan held a meeting with the repatriates who had been placed in a social service institution under the Social Services Agency of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population. The situation regarding the protection of their rights was investigated on site.

The Ombudsman’s representatives were informed by the social service institution about the work that has been carried out and is planned to be carried out for the rehabilitation of the repatriates.

It should be noted that the applications received by the Ombudsman regarding the repatriation of our citizens from Syria are being kept under consideration. Coordinated activities with the competent state institutions are ongoing to ensure that necessary measures are taken to protect the rights of these individuals.
