The Ombudsman met with the participants of the Sixth National Forum of Children of Azerbaijan

The Human Rights Commissioner of Azerbaijan, Sabina Aliyeva, held a meeting with a group of children, who will participate in the Sixth National Forum of Children of Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, the Commissioner informed young adolescents of her efforts to protect children's rights. 

The Ombudsman highlighted ongoing initiatives in cooperation with relevant state institutions, CSOs, and international organizations protecting children's rights.

Sabina Aliyeva noted that each year, from October 20 to November 20, the Ombudsman declares a "Child Rights Month" in Azerbaijan to mark the anniversary of the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, adding that the meeting with forum participants was especially meaningful. The Ombudsman emphasized the importance of active participation of children in the events held during this month.

At the meeting, the Ombudsman listened to the views of the forum participants on ensuring children's rights and the measures implemented in this area, answered their questions, and made her recommendations to them.
