The Ombudsman’s West Regional Center organized an event on the topic “Heydar Aliyev and Human Rights”dedicated to the 10th December- International Human Rights Day, with the participation of employees of the “ASAN” Service and volunteers.
In his speech, Sabuhi Abbasov, the head of the Regional Center, said that ensuring the human rights and freedoms in an independent Azerbaiijan and further strengthening their protection was a supreme goal of the state. The determination, implementation, and realization mechanisms of this supreme goal, as well as developing a legal framework for human rights associated with the name of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
The detailed information about the essence of Human Rights Day, the universal set of human rights, as well as Heydar Aliyev's unique services to the Azerbaijani people in establishing and implementing human rights, and the strategic documents he signed in 1998.
The event continued with active discussions, and participants shared their views on the topic.
