The South Regional Center of the Ombudsman held awareness-raising events on International Human Rights Day

The Ombudsman’s South Regional Center organized a number of awareness-raising events in honor of the 10^th of December - International Human Rights Day. Employees of department, enterprises, and active young people participated in the events.

During his speech, Ziya Ismayilov, the head of the South Regional Center, provided the participants with extensive information about the history of human rights, the UDHR, and a number of international agreements to which our State is a party.

He emphasized that the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev laid the foundation of human rights reforms in our country and that the first democratic Constitution of independent Azerbaijan was prepared under the leadership of the National Leader.

Z. Ismayilov also informed the participants in detail about the establishment and activities of the Ombudsman Institution of Azerbaijan.
