As reported, a joint Working Group (WG) has been established with the participation of the ombudsmen of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation, and the Chechen Republic of the Russian Federation to take necessary measures regarding those who lost their lives and those in need of treatment following the crash of an Azerbaijan Airlines aircraft near the city of Aktau.
According to the latest information received by the WG, following the crash, 27 individuals have been hospitalized. Among them, 15 are citizens of Azerbaijan, 8 are citizens of Russia, and 3 are citizens of Kyrgyzstan, respectively. The identity of one individual has not yet been determined.
11 of the hospitalized individuals are being treated in the unit of intensive care, 13 in the traumatology department, 2 in the neurosurgery department, and 1 in the surgery department. These individuals are under the supervision of highly qualified doctors sent from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Russia. They have been provided with prompt and specialized medical and psychological assistance.
The matter is under the attention of the Azerbaijani Ombudsman.
