Events were organized within the framework of the "Year of Solidarity for a Green World" at the Ombudsman Office

A series of awareness-raising events were organized according to the approved 2024 Action Plan, "Year of Solidarity for a Green World," at the Ombudsman Office of Azerbaijan.

Young people involved in voluntary activities at the Ombudsman Office participated in events held to promote the transfer of used paper to recycling facilities and the efficient use of electricity.

Participants included students, undergraduates, and alumni of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Academy of the State Customs Committee, Baku State University, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Azerbaijan University of Languages, Baku Slavic University, Azerbaijan University of Tourism and Management, Sumgait State University, and Western Caspian University.

During the presentations, Mugalib Mahmudov, Head of the Legal Education Unit of the Ombudsman Office, provided detailed information to the participants about the importance of handing over used paper to recycling facilities and the economical use of electricity, as well as the obligations arising from the laws "On Waste" and "On Efficient Use of Energy Resources and Energy Efficiency". 

Finally, the views of young people on environmental protection and combating climate change were listened to, and their questions were answered.
