An event on the occasion of the "Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty" was held in Masalli

The South Regional Center of the Ombudsman of Azerbaijan organized an event in Massalli district on the "Sovereignty of the State and the Principle of the Supremacy of the Constitution" as 2025 was proclaimed as the "Year of Constitution and Sovereignty" in Azerbaijan. The event was conducted jointly with the Lankaran-Astara Regional Youth and Sports Department, the District Executive Power, the district regional department of the State Committee for Work with Religious Institutions, and the district representation of the Lankaran-Astara Regional Culture Department.

The government officials, heads of departments, enterprises, and public audience took part in the event.

During his speech at the event, Ziya Ismayilov, Head of the South Regional Center of the Ombudsman, said that the adoption of the first 1995 Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan laid the foundation for broad legislative and institutional reforms in the country.

Furthermore, it was noted that the historic Victory achieved in the Second Karabakh War and the local anti-terrorist operations carried out on 19-20 September 2023 have resulted in the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country, which have been fully restored, and the Constitution of Azerbaijan holds legal authority across all territories.
