Legal educational event on “Protecting the Rights of Migrants as Vulnerable Groups” was held

The Ombudsman’s West Regional Center held a legal educational event on the topic  “Protecting the rights of migrants as vulnerable groups” with the participation of the staff of the Yevlakh District Temporary Accommodation Center of the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The Head of the Regional Center, Sabuhi Abbasov, who spoke at the event, provided comprehensive information on the legal obligations arising from the Ombudsman's National Preventive Mechanism mandate, the OPCAT, the latest amendments to the Constitutional Law on the Ombudsman, as well as the Ombudsman’s activities in the field of protection of the rights and freedoms of migrants, and the Call Center “916”.

At the end, the participants’ questions on the topic were answered.
