The Ombudsman participated in the event entitled “A Woman’s Voice Through The Lens of April”

The Ombudsman of Azerbaijan, Sabina Aliyeva, participated in the event entitled “A Woman’s Voice Through The Lens of April” organized by the “Women’s Health Center Public Union.”

The Ombudsman, who spoke at the event, stated that the Constitution and national legislation of Azerbaijan, as well as the international treaties it has joined, guarantee the full and effective protection of women’s rights and freedoms. She noted that special attention was paid to ensuring gender equality through legal and institutional mechanisms in our country.   

It was also emphasized that the large-scale reforms continue to be implemented to increase the role of women in all spheres of the country. 

Sabina Aliyeva noted that the reforms implemented and the increase in women's representation in governing bodies have created conditions for their increased activity in all areas of society, and that the increase of women's participation contributes to the sustainable development of our country.
