A staff member of the Ombudsman Office spoke at the event, held during autism awareness month

The Head of the Unit on Protection of PWDs Rights at the Ombudsman Office, Ayten Tarverdiyeva, spoke at the conference entitled “Blue Light Road” organized by the Azerbaijan Autism Association.

A.Tarverdiyeva, at the event, shed light on the work carried out by the Ombudsman to ensure the rights of persons with disabilities, and their full integration into society as full members. In addition, it was noted that the Constitutional Law on the Ombudsman was amended in recent years, which extended the Ombudsman’s mandate, including the protection of the rights of persons with impairments.  

Also, it was emphasized that the protection of the rights of vulnerable people, including individuals with autism spectrum disorder, is kept in the spotlight and information about the actions taken in the relevant field üas provided.
