A series of events were held during the Year of Constitution and Sovereignty

During the Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty, the Ombudsman’s West and North Regional Centers organized in Goranboy, Ganja and Guba, a series of legal educational events entitled “Protection of human rights as a fundamental principle of a modern era,” “Protecting intellectual property rights,” “Human rights protection mechanisms,” and “Our independence and sovereignty: past and future”.

It was stated that after the restoration of our state’s independence, the first Constitution was adopted and legal reforms were carried out at the national level. Furthermore, the participants were informed about fundamental human rights and freedoms stipulated in the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan and their protection mechanisms, particularly, the activity directions of the Ombudsman as an independent human rights protection mechanism.
