A series of legal awareness events were organized by the Ombudsman's Regional Centers

A series of legal educational events were organized in Ganja, Gadabay, Guba and Gusar by the Ombudsman's North and West Regional Centers on the topics of “Combating Discrimination and Ensuring the Right to Equality”, “Protection of the PWDs Rights”, “Gender Equality: Our Rights and Duties” and “Family - A Core Pillar of Society and the State, the Bearer of National and Spiritual Values”.

At the events, speeches on relevant topics were heard, and participants were informed about the Ombudsman's activities in the field of protection of human rights and freedoms. Furthermore, it was noted that the last amendments to the Constitutional Law on the Ombudsman have expanded the mandate of the Commissioner to further effectively ensure the right to equality, and prevent discrimination.

Exchanges of views on topics were also held, and questions of the participants were answered.
