The Ombudsman’s representatives participated in the Pardon Decree Enforcement Ceremony

The employees of the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) also took part in the enforcement of the subsequent pardon decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev.

The Ombudsman’s representatives visited penitentiary institutions No. 1, 2, 6, 10, 11, 15, 17, and open (for less severe crimes) penitentiary institution No. 2 of the Penitentiary Service under the Ministry of Justice with regard to the implementation of the pardoning decree.

Those who were pardoned in institutions were presented release certificates, and they were called on to taking advantage of the opportunities our people have created to protect the rights of the released persons, their social integration and adaptation, and encourage loyalty to the state.

It should be noted that among the pardoned persons, there are also persons who were included in the relevant list based on the solicitation of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
