
During "Human Rights Month," which was declared by Azerbaijan's Ombudsman, Sabina Aliyeva, an event dedicated to the "Year of Constitution and Sovereignty" with the theme "The Republic of Azerbaijan's natural resources serve the well-being of the people and the prosperity of the country" was held.
Mugalib Mahmudov, Head of the Legal Education Unit of the Ombudsman Office, spoke at the event, explaining the significance of the "Human Rights Month" that is held annually from May 18 to June 18 in honor of Human Rights Day in the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as the date of its establishment.
In the speech it was spoken about the work of the Ombudsman institution in this area, the safeguarding of human rights and freedoms through reforms based on the Constitution, international agreements, and national legal framework, stressing the role that the prudent and lawful use of our nation's natural resources plays in maintaining ecological safety and social welfare.
