A social video was prepared for 1 June – International Day for the Protection of Children

The Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan works comprehensively in the field of protecting and promoting child rights.  

At the initiative of Sabina Aliyeva, the Ombudsman, an educational social video was prepared to increase public awareness about children’s rights and freedoms and contribute to their decent and active participation in society.  

The video reflects the importance of core principles, such as inadmissibility of discrimination against children, the best interest of the child, ensuring their right to live in a healthy, safe, and caring environment, the right to survival and development, and respecting views of the child, as well as taking joint initiatives in this direction.   

Once more, we call on everyone to respect the rights of the child and actively support the initiatives related to their protection.  

We thank our partner organizations - Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation, Association of Azerbaijan Football Federations ( AFFA), Neftchi PFK, the European Azerbaijan School, and the Birge va Saglam Public Union - for their support in ensuring the participation of children in the video!
