The Office of the Ombudsman organized an excursion for children with special needs on the occasion of 1 June – International Day for the Protection of Children

The Office of the Human Rights Commissioner of the Republic of Azerbaijan implements a range of events related to 1 June – International Day for the Protection of Children. 

As part of the measures taken, an excursion to Baku Zoo was organized for a group of children from a special boarding school No. 2 in cooperation with the Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan and the “Silent Communication” Sign Language Development Organization. The purpose of the event was to create effective organization of leisure time for children, to support their social integration, and to promote inclusiveness. Furthermore, this initiative facilitates the socialization of children and acquiring new knowledge and practices.   

It must be noted that the Office of the Ombudsman schedules to take measures in order to protect the rights of children from various categories, and to promote their participation and social integration.
