A meeting of the working group on improving legislation on mediation was held at the Ombudsman Office

The Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Sabina Aliyeva, chaired a meeting of the working group on improving legislation on mediation. Representatives of the Ombudsman Office, the Mediation Council, state institutions, and mediators participated in this event.

In the opening speech, the Ombudsman provided information about the integration of mediation into the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the legal reforms implemented in this area.

The Commissioner pointed out that the Ombudsman Office and the Mediation Council collaborate closely to investigate complaints about mediation operations across the country, to improve the legislation and to organize awareness-raising measures in this field.

During his speech, Nadir Adilov, Chairman of the Board of the Mediation Council, informed the participants about the activities of the Council.

At the end, proposals prepared by the Mediation Council were heard, and open discussions were held.
