12 June – An event dedicated to the World Day Against Child Labor was held

Throughout the "Human Rights Month" announced by the Ombudsman of Azerbaijan, an educational event dedicated to June 12 - World Day Against Child Labor was organized at Baku Technical Humanitarian Lyceum No. 16.

Students and teaching staff of the high school participated in the training on "Protection of Children's Rights and Prevention of Child Labor Exploitation" conducted by employees of the Children's Rights Protection Unit in the Office.

At the event, the Office’s representatives were informed of broad information about the Ombudsman’s powers in the protection of children's rights, as well as the activities carried out by the institution in this direction. The current legal norms on the protection of children's rights, and children's labor rights, as well as existing legal mechanisms for preventing the exploitation of child labor, were brought to the attention of the event participants.

The event continued in an interactive discussion format, and participants' questions were answered.
