An event was organized during "Year of Constitution and Sovereignty" in Ganja

The Ombudsman’s West Regional Center held an event dedicated to “Constitution of Azerbaijan: History and Path to Development” during the "Year of Constitution and Sovereignty" in Ganja. The event was organized in collaboration with the Heydar Aliyev Center and Regional “ASAN” service No. 2 in Ganja city. 

The Head of the Regional Center, Sabuhi Abbasov made a speech about human rights and liberties endorsed in the Constitution of Azerbaijan and human rights protection mechanisms, the Ombudsman’s activities as an independent human rights protection mechanism, and the latest amendments made to the Constitutional Law on the Ombudsman. 

The participants were informed about the work carried out to protect and promote human rights and liberties under the leadership of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the first national Constitution adopted after regaining independence, and legal reforms implemented at the national level.  

A discussion was held, and the questions raised were answered.
