Publications of the ombuds institution at the 11th Baku International Book Fair received great interest

At the XI Baku International Book Fair, held on 1-7 October, 2025, 279 publications of the ombuds institution of Azerbaijan, including books, booklets, leaflets, posters, and discs in Azerbaijani, Russian, English, Ukrainian, and French, were exhibited.

The ombuds institution’s publications received great interest at the exhibition and were reviewed by hundreds of local and foreign participants.

The Ombudsman initiated the creation of a Braille version of the 'National Preventive Mechanism for the Prevention of Torture' resource, which was exhibited as the sole publication prepared for the fully visually impaired. The resource received great interest among visitors, as well as publishers. Publishers stated that the preparation of such resources is of great importance and that they will join this initiative of the Ombudsperson in the future to support inclusive life.

Furthermore, fact-finding mission reports based on the findings by the Ombudsperson during the Second Karabakh War and the post-war period, as well as on human rights violations and hate crimes committed by Armenia during the three-decade occupation of the territories of Azerbaijan, were also showcased at the exhibition.
