A legal and educational event was held within the framework of the Year of Constitution and Sovereignty

Within the framework of the Year of Constitution and Sovereignty, the Ombudsperson’s West Regional Center, jointly with the Ganja Regional ASAN Service No. 2, organized a legal and educational event titled “Legal and Social and public aspects of Combating Drugaddiction”.

The Head of the Regional Center, Sabuhi Abbasov, in his speech, spoke about the negative effects of drugs, psychotropic substances, or their precursors, as well as the current legal framework in the field of illicit trafficking of potent and toxic substances that are not classified as narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances, and social consequences of drug use.   

Participants received comprehensive information on the Ombudsperson’s initiatives to raise awareness about drug addiction, including events engaging children and young people, and had the opportunity to have their questions addressed.
