An event was held in Lankaran city during the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty”

The South Regional Center of the Ombudsperson of Azerbaijan, in collaboration with Regional Ecology and Natural Resources Department No. 1 of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and the Lankaran-Astara Regional Youth and Sports Department, organized an educational event for socially active young people and students of the Lankaran State University. The event was organized during the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty.”

Speaking at the event, the head of the Regional Center, Ziya Ismayilov, provided information about the reforms implemented at the national level for the protection of main human rights and freedoms established by the Constitution of Azerbaijan, and the protection of mechanisms.    

Furthermore, it was told about the activity directions of the Ombudsperson as an independent human rights protection mechanism, and methods of contacting the Ombudsman, including the “916” Call Center. The questions were answered.
