A range of legal awareness was organized in regions during the “Child Rights Month”

During the “Child Rights Month” declared by the Ombudsperson of Azerbaijan, the Ombudsman’s North, Northwest, West and South Regional Center held a range of legal educational events in Mingachevir, Ganja, Astara, and Masalli. 

The goal of the events is to help children understand how to stay safe from harmful influences and know their rights and freedoms, such as the right to be treated equally and without discrimination, as well as the international rules for protecting children's rights, the CRC, the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the Rights of the Child, and other laws.

Furthermore, the participants were informed about the Ombudsperson's broad activities in child rights protection, and application procedures on how to reach the Ombudsman, including the "916" Call Center. The questions of children were answered.
