The Ombudsman’s West Regional Center, in collaboration with the Gadabay District Executive Authority, held a legal awareness event during the “Child Rights Month” in Gadabay city. The event was organized in the secondary school No. 1, and it was dedicated to the “Protection of children against harmful information.” The event was organized for police officers, teachers, and students.
During the event, Sabuhi Abbasov, head of the Regional Center, highlighted that protecting children's rights is a top priority for the Ombudsman. He also talked about her work in this area, including the '916' Call Center
Furthermore, the participants were informed about the provisions of the CRC and the laws “On Protection of the Rights of the Child” and “On Protection of Children Against Harmful Information.” They also highlighted the importance of protecting children from harmful information that may negatively influence their physical or mental health. The child participants’ questions were answered.
