"Neftchi" Professional Football Club supported "Child Rights Month"

One of Azerbaijan’s popular football teams, "Neftchi" Professional Football Club (PFK) has joined the "Child Rights Month" initiative, which was announced by the Ombudsperson of Azerbaijan, Sabina Aliyeva.

"Neftçi" collaborated with the Ombuds Institution and the "Umid Yeri" (Place of Hope) Children's Shelter to ensure the rights of children throughout this month-long campaign. 

During the "Neftchi" PFK - "Kepez" game held on 1 November 2025, the football players wore special jerseys with their numbers painted by kids, depicting their handiwork.

During the game, a poster reflecting the slogan "Let's stand together for the happy future of every child!" was displayed with the participation of "Neftçi" PFC and children to highlight the significance of defending children’s rights. "Neftçi" PFC presented a commemorative gift to the Ombuds Institution as a symbol of joint cooperation.

We encourage everyone to participate in this month-long campaign and support the initiative of athletes and leaders of various sports.

The Ombudsperson constantly focuses on the protection and promotion of children's rights and thanks the organizations that demonstrated their support for this campaign. We once again emphasize the importance of every initiative that serves to ensure the more effective protection of children's rights.
