The internship of bachelor and master students in the Ombudsman Office have come to an end

The internships of bachelor and master students in the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) for the Republic of Azerbaijan have been completed.

During the internship, which consisted of theoretical and practical periods, the interns participated in interactive lectures run by the Ombudsman and managerial staff of the Office. During the lectures, the bachelor and master students were given comprehensive information on the Constitutional Law on the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the activities carried out by the Ombudsman in protecting human rights, handling citizens' complaints, protecting the right to information, cooperating with international and civil society organizations, and preventing torture.

Afterwards, the interns who were involved in the practical work in the respective structural departments got acquainted with the Human Rights Library operating in the Ombudsman Office and had the opportunity to benefit from the necessary legal literature relevant to the selected topics for publication works and master's theses.

It should be noted that during the academic year 2022-2023, 69 bachelor and master students studying in the relevant specialties at the Azerbaijan State Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Baku State University, the Azerbaijan University of Languages, the Western Caspian University, the Baku Eurasian University, and the Khazar University had practice and scientific-research experience in the Ombudsman Office.

The Ombudsman, Sabina Aliyeva, meets with all the interns who have successfully completed their internship period, congratulating each of them on successfully completing this important stage in their higher education journey and wishing them success in their education, careers, and personal lives. Afterwards, the bachelor and master students are awarded certificates by the Ombudsman.

At the end, the interns express their gratitude to the Ombudsman for the opportunity provided during the internship and for the attention shown to the youth.
