The Ombudsman's representative participated in the presentation of the video "Life Stories of Refugee Women with Disabilities"

A video clip was screened as part of the "Life Stories of Refugee Women with Disabilities" project, prepared by the "Disabled Women's Society" Public Union with the financial support of the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations.

The event was organized at the Social Research Center with the participation of deputies of the Parliament, government agencies, NGO and media representatives, and guests from foreign countries. The event was attended by Mugalib Mahmudov, Head of the Unit in the Ombudsman Office.

The video clip featured the life stories of refugee women with disabilities, the difficulties they face, their struggle for life, and their efforts to integrate into society. Afterwards, during discussions following the video presentation, M. Mahmudov spoke about the activities of the ombuds institution to protect the rights of women refugees and IDPs, including persons with disabilities, who became refugees and IDPs as a result of Armenia's military aggression against Azerbaijan.

Furthermore, it was noted that Ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva actively took initiatives before various leading international organizations to achieve international recognition of the right of Azerbaijanis expelled from the territory of present-day Armenia to return to their lands in a safe and dignified manner, peacefully.
