Awareness-Raising Events Held on the Protection of Children's Rights

The Ombudsman Office of Azerbaijan organized joint awareness-raising events on ‘Children’s Rights and Protection Mechanisms’ with the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.’ The event was held at Child Home No. 1 under the Social Services Agency. Another event was held in cooperation with the Public Health and Reforms Center of the Ministry of Health and the Yasamal District Executive Authority, which was dedicated to ‘Child Protection and Safety’.

During the events, staff members of the Child Rights Protection Unit informed the attendees about the current legal framework and child protection mechanisms. The attendees were also briefed on the Ombudsman’s activities, including recommendations for the protection of children from violence and exploitation, as well as the effective safeguarding of children's rights in general.

During the events, discussions were held and questions raised were answered, informational materials were distributed to them.
