A training was held on the topic of "Educating potential victims of human trafficking"

The Ombudsman’s South Regional Center held an educational event at the Lankaran Olympic Sports Complex for the volunteers and students of Lankaran State University. The event was organized in collaboration with the "Maarifparverlik" Azerbaijan Youth Public Assistance Association PU and the Lankaran-Astara Regional Youth and Sports Department. 

The awareness-raising training was dedicated to the education of potential victims of human trafficking. The training was run by the head of the regional center,  Ziya Ismayilov. He informed the trainees about international and national legal frameworks combating human trafficking and its legal remedies. 

While talking about regulatory frameworks, he said that the ombuds institution regularly holds various public educational events in this field to prevent violence and promote the fight against human trafficking.

At the end, questions of trainees were answered in detail, and videos on the topic were shown.
