"Shine with Your Rights!" project runs trainings for schoolchildren

Various public and private institutions, such as the Parliament, the Ombusdman Institution, the Ministry of Science and Education, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Committee for Family, Women and Children's Issues, the MLSPP Social Services Agency, the Ministry of Health’s Public Health and Reforms Center, as well as "Regional Development" PU, the Association of Cybersecurity Organizations of Azerbaijan organized trainings. 

These trainings are held as part of the "Shine with Your Rights!" project and financially supported by the "Nar" company.

This online training was run by Azer Isali, senior advisor at the Child Rights Protection Unit of the Ombudsman Institution. He informed the small trainees about their rights and duties, explained to them the CRC articles, and on how to reach child protection mechanisms. The school-aged trainees were also briefed on violence and its forms, early marriage, forced labor, and other violations of rights and their legal consequences. The trainer shared insights on the Ombudsman's activities in the field of child rights protection.

A total of 550 students from 30 secondary schools in Baku benefited from these interactive trainings, where representatives of a number of state and related organizations acted as trainers. At the end of each training, students' knowledge on the topics covered by the trainings was assessed in an online test format. According to the results, it is planned to award certificates to students who score the highest points.
