“Shine with Your Rights!” Project Delivers Educational Training to Vulnerable Children

Within the framework of the “Shine with Your Rights!” project, educational training sessions were organized for 96 children from vulnerable groups at the Children’s Shelter–Reintegration Center operating under the “Children of Azerbaijan” Public Union. 

A number of entities, including the Parliament, the Ombudsperson’s Office, the Ministry of Science and Education, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Interior, the State Committee for Family, Women and Children’s Issues, the Social Services Agency under the MLSPP, the Public Health and Reforms Center of the Ministry of Health, the “Regional Development” Public Union, and the Association of Cybersecurity Organizations of Azerbaijan. The project was financially supported by “Nar.”

The training was run by Azer Isali, Senior Advisor at the Ombudsperson’s Office, who mainly focused on the Child Rights Convention’s main principles, the relevant protection mechanisms, and violence, particularly cyberbullying, early marriages, forced labor, and the legal consequences of rights violations, while outlining the Ombudsman’s role, activities, and complaint procedures.

At the conclusion of the interactive training, participants’ knowledge was assessed, and based on the results, certificates will be awarded.
