The Ombudsman of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Sabina Aliyeva, has received Vladanka Andreeva, the UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan whose term of office has come to an end.
During the meeting, the Ombudsman recalled with satisfaction the effective cooperation with the UN Charter-based and treaty bodies, emphasizing that these relations significantly contributed to the promotion and protection of human rights and to the development of legal culture.
Over the past period, the Ombudsman has highly appreciated the importance of joint projects implemented by the Azerbaijani Ombudsman and the UN, including its specialized agencies, as well as the competitions and events organized annually on the occasion of the International Human Rights Day.
Sabina Aliyeva thanked the resident coordinator whose term of office in Azerbaijan has come to an end, for the useful cooperation in the field of human rights during the period of activity in Azerbaijan, and wished her success in her future work.
Vladanka Andreyeva expressed her gratitude to Sabina Aliyeva for the reception, highly praised the activities carried out by the Azerbaijani Ombudsman in the field of protecting human rights and freedoms, and stated her satisfaction with the cooperation.
