A meeting was held between the Ombudsman Office and the Ministry of Science and Education

A meeting was held between the Ministry of Science and Education and the Ombudsman Office of Azerbaijan on the topic of directions for bilateral cooperation in handling citizens’ appeals and more effective ensuring the right to education. 

The head of the Ministry of Science and Education, Metin Kerimli, the Chief of Office of the Ombudsman, Aydin Safikhanli, as well as heads of relevant structural units and other responsible staff members, took part in the event.  

During the meeting, an exchange of views was held around the issues of the investigation of applications about the right to education received by both institutions, the joint solution of emerging problems, directions for educational activities, and other related issues.

Also, a presentation about the implementation status of applications received by the Ministry of Science and Education within a year, was made.

At the end, it was emphasized the importance of improving communication between two institutions, the creation of joint working groups with the aim of solving emerging problems, and the necessity of conducting educational events in the field of human rights promotion in order to more effectively collaborate.
