The book titled “Artificial Intelligence and Mediation in the Digital Age” has been published

The development of AI has been identified as one of the priority directions of state policy in Azerbaijan. The “Artificial Intelligence Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025–2028” defines, as one of its main objectives, the implementation of Atechnologies with due regard to human rights, ethical principles, transparency, and legal security requirements.

The Ombudsman of Azerbaijan and the Mediation Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan supported the publication of the book entitled “Artificial Intelligence and Mediation in the Digital Age” by Professor Ergin Ergül of the Faculty of Law at Ankara Medipol University.

The book provides a comprehensive analysis of the legal foundations of AI, its potential applications in mediation, the risks that must be taken into consideration, as well as the relevant ethical framework and legal infrastructure. As a scientific and practical resource on the usage of AI in the digital environment, the publication is intended for legal professionals, mediators, representatives of state authorities, academicians, researchers, and a broad audience interested in this field.

The Ombudsman of Azerbaijan systematically monitors and analyses the development of information technologies and the impact of artificial intelligence on human rights within the framework of protecting human and civil rights and freedoms. Furthermore, the future usage of AI is considered an important opportunity for the effective management of complaints received by the Ombudsman, the analysis of data, and the improvement of the quality of services provided to citizens.
