An event was held at Baku Business University on the role of the Ombudsman in the protection of children's rights

An educational event on the role of the Ombudsman of Azerbaijan in protecting children’s rights was held for students majoring in social work at Baku Business University.

During the event, Azar Isali, an employee of the Child Rights Protection Unit of the Ombudsman Office, delivered a presentation and provided the students with detailed information about the Ombudsman’s mandate, activities carried out in the field of protecting children’s rights, existing national and international legal mechanisms and legislative acts related to children’s rights, and explained why ensuring the rights of children is important.

Furthermore, the students were informed about the examination of complaints addressed to the Ombudsman, the conduct of monitoring activities, and the measures taken to restore violated human rights and freedoms.

More than 100 students, in total, benefited from this awareness-raising event. During the event, questions were answered and an exchange of views was held on the topic.
