An awareness-raising event dedicated to the World Day Against Child Labour was held during "Human Rights Month"

Within the framework of the "Human Rights Month" initiated by the Ombudsman of Azerbaijan, an awareness-raising event dedicated to June 12 – World Day Against Child Labour was organized by the Ombudsman Office at the Baku State Vocational Education Center for Tourism and Social Services.

The purpose of the event, held under the theme 'Protection of child rights: children's labor rights and the specifics of utilizing child labor,' was to further enhance the awareness level of the students and teaching staff of the institution in the relevant field.

As a trainer, Azer Isali, an employee of the Child Rights Protection Unit of the Office provided extensive information on children's labor rights, concessions applied to them during recruitment, as well as the nature and consequences of existing rights violations in the field of child rights.

During the training, information regarding legal protection mechanisms protecting children's rights, including the mandate of the Ombudsman and the main pillars of activity in the field of child rights protection, was brought to the attention of the participants.

At the conclusion, the interactive discussion was held and questions were answered.
