Ganja hosts a legal awareness event under the umbrella of "Human Rights Month"

As part of "Human Rights Month," the West Regional Center of the Ombudsman has organized a legal awareness event titled "Protection of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities." The event was attended by residents and staff members of the Psychoneurological Social Services Establishment No. 4 in Ganja, under the Social Services Agency, which is under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.

At the event Sabuhi Abbasov, Head of the Regional Center, spoke about measures implemented at the national level to protect the rights, including social security, rehabilitation, and social integration of persons with disabilities, highlighting that the protection of the PWDs’ rights remains one of the priorities of the Ombudsman's activities.

During the event, attendees were informed of the laws "On the Rights of Persons with Disabilities" and "On Psychiatric Care," and the Ombudsman's activities to ensure the rights of individuals under psychoneurological treatment. The participants ‘questions were answered.
