The Ombudsman’s Representative Participated in an Event at the Police Academy Held in the Framework of "Human Rights Month"

The Police Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs hosted a roundtable discussion titled "Human Rights in the Modern Era: Global Challenges and New Approaches".

Javidan Gorchiyev, Head of the Equality and Discrimination Monitoring Department of the Ombudsman Office, took part in the event, which brought together representatives from various government agencies.

During the roundtable, C. Gorchiyev delivered a presentation titled “The Inadmissibility of Discrimination Under the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Activities of the Ombudsman in this Field.”

He provided comprehensive information on the Ombudsman’s mandate as an independent monitoring mechanism for ensuring equality and anti-discrimination. He also underlined measures implemented within the framework of these activities.
