Awareness-Raising Event on the Right to Information Held in Absheron District

An awareness-raising event on the protection of the right to information has been organized in the Absheron district. The event was held within the framework of the nationwide "Human Rights Month" initiated by the Ombudsman.

Speaking at the event, senior-level employees of the Ombudsman Office provided detailed information on the key provisions of the Law "On Access to Information." They discussed the responsibilities of information owners, the process for handling information requests, statutory response times, and the practical application of the relevant legislation.

In addition, the participants were informed of the Ombudsman's activities to protect the right to information. This included investigations into incoming applications and the ongoing awareness-raising initiatives.

As part of the event, a relevant social video was demonstrated, and educational print materials and methodical guides were presented to the participants.

At the end the participants’ questions were answered.
