The International Baku Ombudsmen Summit Has Begun Its Work

The International Baku Ombudsmen Summit set on the theme "Human Rights in the Era of Artificial Intelligence: Opportunities, Risks, and Responsibilities," organized in Baku at the initiative of the Ombudsman of Azerbaijan and dedicated to June 18, Human Rights Day in the Republic of Azerbaijan, has begun its work.

The event is attended by heads and representatives of ombudsman institutions and national human rights institutions from nearly 30 countries, leaders of several international organizations, high-ranking government officials, representatives of civil society institutions, as well as renowned experts in the field of artificial intelligence and human rights.

The summit will feature panel sessions on the protection of rights in the digital space, data protection, privacy and the fight against disinformation, the impact of artificial intelligence on the labor market and employment, transparency, fairness and equality in AI systems, and digital literacy.
