The employees of the Ombudsman Institution met with the repatriates

The Ombudsman kept the protection of the human rights of repatriates in mind.  

As a result of the phased and coordinated measures taken by the Government of Azerbaijan, 23 citizens of Azerbaijan, including women and children, were repatriated from the Syrian Arab Republic to our country on June 7, 9 and 11, 2026.

Representatives of the Ombudsman met with those repatriates who were placed in the relevant institution of the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.

During the meeting, the work done on the social rehabilitation of repatriates, as well as their current needs, was studied, and recommendations were made for their reintegration into society and protection of their rights. In addition, the repatriates were informed in detail about the Ombudsman’s mandate and activities.
