Monitoring conducted at military unit in Kalbajar to raise legal awareness

In accordance with the Joint Action Plan approved between the Ombudsman of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, staff members of the Ombudsman Office conducted a monitoring visit to one of the military units of the Ministry of Defense located in the liberated Kalbajar district for the purpose of legal awareness.

During the meeting with the personnel, information was provided on activities carried out to protect the rights of military servicemen, as well as the main areas of the Ombudsman’s activities, and questions were answered. In addition, an application filed by one serviceman received on-site was officially registered for processing.

During the monitoring, inspections were carried out at the servicemen' food supply, the state of protection of their right to health and the general organization of service, including barracks, mess hall, food warehouses, medical point, and other areas that do not constritute a militray secret. The existing conditions were evaluated on-site.

At the conclusion of the visit, relevant recommendations were submitted to the command of the military unit to ensure the more effective protection of the rights of servicemen.
